REQUIREMENTS 


Requirements for the minor in Italian include: 

  • A minimum of 24 quarter hours of approved courses beyond the elementary level (ITAL 1003) 
  • No fewer than four of the 24 quarter hours must be from a 3000-level course 
  • One course taught in English on Italian culture, history or literature can be used to satisfy the Italian minor requirements. 

While not required, students who minor in Italian are encouraged to study abroad in Italy. Minors who choose to study abroad are strongly encouraged to enroll in an Italian course upon their return.

Option 1 (with study abroad in fall): 

Year 1: 1001, 1002, 1003 

Year 2: 2001, 2002, 2005 

Year 3: Study Abroad, 3010, 3702

Option 2 (without study abroad):
